Hope your newest years are off to a great start. I’ve just posted some illustration and design work from the last while;

路 Since the summer of 2015 I’ve had the privilege of being the graphic designer for the Belfry Theatre in Victoria BC. Here’s a quick survey of some of the work I’ve been doing with them.

路 A poster for the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Alberta for their new MA program in Gender and Social Justice.

路 Some new illustration work for Nouveau Projet in Montreal.

路 Identity design for Nourishing Wholefoods in Australia

路 Identity and poster design for the Magazine Association of BC’s MagsWest 2016 conference.

路 A series of illustrations for Avenue about the challenges language can present in police work.

路 And a bunch of spots from the last while.

Feeling excited about the potentials and projects of the year to come!

Translation Time

Happy New Year errybody!

A surprise package in the mail from Owlkids arrived just after the holiday containing a few new translations. Starting From Scratch has been translated into Korean, and Learn to Speak Dance is now available in Thai. Neat! Happy to see these books grow some legs and reach some more kids.

A quick note to mention that I’ve just jumped from Montreal to Vancouver. I’m excited to be taking on the role of graphic designer for the Belfry Theatre in Victoria. I will be continuing to take on freelance work 鈥 please excuse the slight communication delays as the dust settles following my move.

Literary Review of Canada

Last week I enjoyed working on another suite of images alongside insightful art director Alastair Cheng for the May 2015 issue of the Literary Review of Canada.

The range of content in the magazine was a pleasure to work with once again. I’m particularly pleased with the final image for the cover, a metaphor for the pressures at play between digital and print.
